Lucario of House Arryn Lucario of House Arryn; or, The Jackal Flies HighLucario of House Arryn by McKnight1993
(A Pokemon/ASOIAF crossover)
More or less originating from watching Pokemon Movie #8 (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) after reading High Plains Drifter’s stories with Captain America and a Roman Legion.
Basically, after sacrificing himself at the end of the movie (Spoilers! ), Arceus/Palkia/insert-random-diety-here sends him to reunite with Sir Aaron. Unfortunately, Aaron and Arryn sound alike, and he instead ends up in Westeros - specifically near the camp of Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, before the Battle of Ruby Ford. Presuming he joins with the rebels, how will the arrival of a middle-tier Pokemon shake up the Game of Thrones?
Lucario felt weightless, floating in a vast emptiness. Slowly opening his eyes, he gazed out upon an infinite abyss, space without end or direction. Was this the Negative Zone that the creation myth spoke about? Was this the Spirit World that ghost Pokemo

Airspace above Equestria
June 24th, 0750 hours
It was just the break of dawn as the three drop ships began their descent. Two UNSC Pelicans and a newly upgraded CAR Phantom entered the atmosphere as a trio of contrails in the morning light. Coming from the east, only a few scattered monsters from the Everfree Forest happened to see them. By the time they approached the edges of civilization, the ships were at low flight altitude, and had fully engaged their stealth systems. These systems, having been put in about 2 years ago, fully masked visible and infrared light, as well as muffled any sound made from the engines.
They stopped over a clearing, about 2 kilometers east of the nearest settlement. Hovering at a safe distance near the ground, the three squads got off, setting foot on a new wo

3 years A.N.
1 month after Trixie and Gilda's return
Spike, the only dragon in Ponyville -and Twilight's personal assistant - was walking down the street, unaware that he had been marked. He had been sent to the post office to get a package from Baltimare, something that Twilight had ordered for some new spell she was working on. She was still busy working on the preparation for the spell with Trixie - it still baffled him that the show-off unicorn had done a complete 180 on her personality - so she sent the always reliable Spike to go collect.
Not that he minded being a servant boy. He had lived with Twilight Sparkle since she was a filly and he was a hatchling. Hay, she actually hatched him for her entrance exam into Celestia's school, and became the Princess's own protégé. Working for the purple unicorn

"Don't you hate it when some gay little song gets stuck in your head? I sure do…" -Anonymous
For those who travel between universes often, you may be able to track when exactly you enter a universe by feeling for the Threshold. For those who don't know, a Threshold is that strange, invisible line or area that marks off one world from another. Passing into a new world, you will experience a psychic broadcast, a Theme that will give you a brief understanding of what you're going into.
Each world has a different one: The Haloverse has Gregorian chanting, marked with images of vast Forerunner constructs. Mass Effect has a strange, ethereal drone, with a long montage of stars and planets. Warhammer is marked with a broad, orchestrate symphony, detailing many scenes of battle and woe. And as for the wo

The previous chapter is what I can only assume my life begun like. My name is Ddraigtanto. Today, I am the Empress of the First Avalarian Empire; a title by no means handed to me on a plate. Nothing really was when I was young. things have changed an awful lot since then, not least me...
"You!" Came a grunt. "Get up!" I then felt a paw shake me hard into conciousness.
"Schakri! Don't shake him like that!" My mother defended me. "He's only a little kid, let him sleep."
Ah, there's also that. It should be quickly noted: I was born a male. It's a long story, but let me shorten it for you: Never wear jewellery, especially gold jewellery, which is given to you by someone you don't know and trust. Otherwise you end up like me. Fortunately, it worked in my favour. It might not if it ever happens to you.
Also, my father, Schakri, is a vile drunken pig. In case that wasn't obvious...
"Don't worry mum. I'm up." I groaned.
"Good. Come on." Schakri barked,

The meetings with the pressure groups and protesters in Drakenholm was too pressing to ignore. It had to be dealt with, and dealt with quickly, even if all that it entailed was speaking with the pressure groups, or 'lobbying' them. Of course, he would always refuse to do anything untoward, but keeping the insider pressure groups on side was always a good idea.
And so, Ddraigtanto and family were on a private carriage of a high speed train, on their way to Drakenholm. The train was an extraordinarily good way to get around the country, getting them from the Capital to Drakenholm in an hour at the very most. It made it a far more comfortable option than planes, and honestly, Ddraig preferred it to aircraft almost entirely on the basis of the view anyway.
That view was currently that of Avalar's vast rural countryside, interrupted only briefly as it sped past the odd town, village or city. The blue skies dotted with clouds, and the occasional bird or dragon flyi

So, once again, Eve got out the take-away leaflets, feeling bad that she always had to turn to this, as she wasn't that great at cooking, nevertheless, this was the situation, and this was how things were...
So, now Eve's memory had to come into play: Spyro wanted something hot, as far as she could remember, meanwhile Cynder's was easy: Hawaiian, every time they ever had takeaways, she always had hawaiian, and she never said why, maybe she just liked the pinapple. And Eve was going for the meat feast; Ddraig was less picky, when she asked, he replied
"Whatever, I'm not fussed!"
The orders were made. 30 minutes, or the pizzas were free...
...Traffic was awful. 31 minutes later, and the pizzas arrived; a very happy Eve took the four boxes, and a very disappointed delivery guy left empty handed.
Ddraig was still busy when they were plated and ready to eat. Occasionally, Eve spat flames at Ddraig's plate, so his pizza would stay hot.

When Eve and Cynder returned home. They found Ddraig in his study, where he was busy with 'work'...
The black dragon sat at his desk, a phone in his paw.
"What is she talking about?" Ddraig asked the person on the other end. "Warfang isn't becoming overcrowded, is it?"
Eve and Cynder looked at each other, then nodded.
"Best keep out of the way?" Eve asked.
"Yeah, sounds like a plan..." The black dragoness agreed.
"Ok, what do YOU suggest?" Ddraig replied, sighing. "Hmmm... It's a bit dangerous, isn't it? I mean... Nobody's been down into the Undercity since 2007... I'm not even sure it's safe."
This call continued for the best part of an hour, before Ddraig hung up; he then turned to Spyro for some guidance.
"I think..." The purple dragon spoke. "If you want to do something to the ruins, you should take a look at them first... Ignitus once told me they acted like an entire city once. Maybe they could be again?"
"So, something like that sur
Gift Art: Dragon Earth History Concept...due to a lack of historical records from this period, the exact circumstances of the establishment of the Duchy of Avalar are unknown, but an old Avalarian children's tale mentions a "Good King" who brought the dragons to safety in the valley. The species of the King is not traditionally addressed in the story, and many have assumed it referred to (NAME); the legendary builder of Warfang, but a new theory suggests that the King may have in fact been Rudolph II of Burgundy; the King of Arles, who supposedly granted the lands to a large group of dragons in return for their aid in uniting his realm in 933. Supporters of this theory propose that the name "Avalar" is a corruption of the term "Vallee Arelat" - literally, "Arles Valley" - which would suggest that humans were more involved than previously thought in the foundations of the modern Avalarian state.
In any case, the Duchy of Avalar was, from its founding, subservient to a larger state; initially the Kingdom of Arles, and then t
Culture Profile: The United Galactic FederationAstrography
The United Galactic Federation (Federation for short) spans most of the Milky Way Galaxy, with a few settlements in the Magellanic Clouds. Every arm in the Milky Way is home to Federation systems and settlements, though the Orion Arm is where Federation control is the weakest, as that is the center of Imperial control.
Natural Physical Appearance
Being a galactic empire, the Federation's population is extremely diverse. Even humans, the overwhelming majority, are diverse, with many subspecies and ethnicities making up the human population. However, the Federation is predominantly composed of humans of the "Galactic" ethnicity, which has been the dominant ethnicity of mankind since time immemorial. Humans of this ethnicity have medium tan skin, black hair, and are on average six feet tall.
You'd think that such a massive empire would have no uniform appearance tradition, but the Federation would prove you wrong. In its efforts to ho
I lived in the orphanage on the edge of Ponyville. It was a nice place. The foals there were quite nice too. I couldn't complain. I did wish I had a family though. I would always wonder what it would be like to have a permanent home with a mother and a father. Maybe even a brother or sister. It's too bad my parents didn't want me. They probably thought that I was helpless and wouldn't be able to live up to their expectations or something. I might not have been able to but I am in no way helpless. I guess when you're disabled, ponies automatically assume you can't take care of yourself.
Oh yeah, that's right, I didn't quite introduce myself. My name's Anthea. I'm a unicorn mare and I'm blind.
Anyways, back to the story. Because of my disability, I'd always get special treatment from everypony at the orphanage. Or at least from the ponies who did talk to me. Some wouldn't because they thought I was weird or distant from them which is kinda understandable
Historia - The First Age
Historia de Terrestris Mundi - The First Age (ante cultus)</i>
The Creation of the Earth and Heavens, and the Rise of Man under Raziel
Aeons ago, before the existence of time and space, there existed the Divine Lord Raziel, Keeper of Secrets and creator of the realms earthly and beyond. In the infinite depths of the Great Void, He created the Earth and drew from His breast Sun and Moon, giving to the Sisters supremacy over the Earth. Charged with duty, Sun and Moon took guardianship over their Father's creation and kept the Earth safe from the hungry Void beyond in tireless vigil.
Once, the universe was whole. For aeons, it continued to exist as creation meant it to be, species rising and falling as insignificant ripples in the tides of time, until the rise of Humanity. Upon the birth of mankind, Raziel took a liking to his new children and descended to the Earth in the form of an Angel, a beautiful creature with aquiline wings and head and a leonine body. In the
Spyro - Analysis and MergerINTRODUCTION
What can be called the "Spyro Canon" is made up of three distinct series of video games: the Original Spyro series, the Legend Of Spyro series, and the Skylanders series.
While these series are not explicitly said to be direct continuations of events; each series being technically a reboot of the last, it is in fact possible to logically unite the three into a grand unified universe, using some clever thinking to explain the various discrepancies between the three.
For several reasons; some of which will be discussed in greater detail further on, I have come to the conclusion that the Legend Of Spyro series takes place before the Original series, and the Skylanders series takes place in another world some time after this. These reasons include the following:
*Technology and relations with other species appears to be much more advanced in the Original series than in the Legend Of Spyro series.
*The Dragons of the Original series are largely bipedal while the Legend Of Spyro

Our story starts in Avalar's capital city of Warfang. The year is 2013, and king Ddraigtanto, whom of which is the focus of our story, wakes to a bright spring day, as the warm current which normally travels further north at this time of year was diverted south; true, this had plunged Avalarian Wales, and the entire of Britain, into frozen limbo, but that's another story.
We begin this story in the king's palace. He and Spyro are engaging in a busy session of training...
"Alright, that was the conventional stuff." Ddraig spoke up, partly tired out, he'd asked Spyro to operate some of the training equipment for him to act around, and vice versa, taking turns; he'd also throw lower strength elemental magic at him, as well as light sparring. "You certainly know your stuff Spyro."
He nodded with slight meekness. "I've been fighting most of my life. You pick up some things."
"Indeed you do. Now, speaking of 'things'. I want to try something new." He walked
